Hi, my name is Shanon and I live in an informal settlement in South Africa. I want to tell you what  my life is like. Sooo.... I have school every morning but it is so far to walk to. There are LOADS of kids and I don't get much attention so I can't spell loverly right (right? Ya). It is hard for me to concentrate on my work but my mom works at my school so that helps. I'm glad that I at least have my bestie, Isabella. I had 3 other besties, Ami, Tadum and Kait but they drowned in the toilet. :(  I have no one to help me with homework. There is no light in our shack and I have to sit under a road lamp just to read! When I get home my mom is still working but at her second job  because we can't afford a lot of things. My father cheated on my mom so he's gone... but don't feel sorry for me because I didn't even know him. So I don't mope around thinking about some struggle that I "have". The worst singing lesson ever!  Hi I am Jesse, today when I got to school I realized it was singing inspector day! I love to sing but when it comes to Mr.R  I  absolutely hate it. Mr.R is a pink faced, curly haired, scarey, deep blue eyed, meany, wearing Knickerbockers (like a hunting man).  So he had the whole school sing except for the little ones and Jack Long and Paulus who do exams and no singing (lucky). Then I sang and I was ok (luckily).   I felt so bad for the others like Iris and Gladys who Mr.R  called the def and the dumb! We have a lot more things to do like what does x equal and crazy stuff like that! Two weeks ago we went on camp, We went to Simonsberg Christian Centre Before we went to camp we went to the Giraffe House and we saw a whole lot of different animals like a tarantula, giraffes, llamas, an ostrich and zebras. I have to admit it was exciting to be at a zoo I have never been to one before. When we finally got there we got to meet the camp leaders and most excitingly we got to see our dorms. we went to the forest to see where we were allowed and where we couldn't go. After that we went to the pool nothing like a nice cold dip in the pool. After supper we went on a night hike and on that night hike we learnt something new and had an awesome view. The next day we played some games like stop and ziplining and my favourite two singing by the camp fire and building forts. On the bus ride home I was happy and sad at the same time because I was going home and leaving the camp behind. When I got home I told my parents everything. My camp experience was extraordinary. ...
